bogong horseback adventures aka the farm aka where i live
hello fellow beings!
ok, so i've been at the farm for about 4 days now. i had a rough go of it the first few days just because it was a new environment and i really had no idea how the farm operated. but i learn new things every day and it's absolutely stunning up here in the country. i love working with the horses and riding everyday. the house is beautiful, the family is great, and the food...mmm deliciously homecooked country meals. i'll tell you, it's hard work. i get up at the butt crack of dawn and we don't stop until dinner. i've done everything from saddling up to building a fence to trail rides to gardening and back again. mind you, i've been here less than a week. honestly, if i don't write things down about my day, i forget because so much is packed in. but it's fantastic and i like it more and more each day. and i've never slept better. so last night, feathertop had her foal! i'll take some pictures soon. she is yet to be named. and mitter is due in 2 weeks. so that's all exciting. life is quiet here. i mean, we played scrabble last night on a homemade board! this whole experience just solidifies what i already knew about myself. i'm a country girl. i like wide open spaces, trees, grass, fresh air, animals, dirt, fresh food and most of all, great people. anywho, here's a few introductory pictures i've taken just to give you an idea of what it's like here. and these shots can't compare to the real deal! enjoy you bumpkins!

this is neddy!! he's named after ned kelly (an aussie legend.) i love him.
and this is salty. i could take him home with me in a second. sweetest dog i've ever encountered. is it wrong that i may like the dogs more than the horses?

ch ch ch changes
hey all!
just writing a quick post. this is our last day in the apartment. court's at work and i'm stuck cleaning the entire place. it's a big job. so courtney found a hostel/share house that she's staying in for the month. it's really cool. 3 story house, holds 40 people from all over the world, common room, kitchen, 5 bathrooms. so i'm sure she'll have plenty of fun. it's also good priced and she can walk to work! i'm off to lucy's tonight and we're leaving for the country in the morning. it's a bit unnerving to just go to someone's house and be living there all of a sudden. but i'm still excited to go and it should be a great experience. i'll be back early november and i'll either live where court is or we'll find another share house. anywho...i'll probably be settled in by the weekend. hopefully i'll put up a post by next week to let you know what's goin down. ok, well stay well!

sorry for being lax on the posts. we've both jsut been working adn figuring out current travel plans. i'll be off later this week, so i'll be able to post and what not. as of now, i'm going to the country oct 5th, courtney's staying here working. our parents come mid december to spend the holiday with us. then on january 5th, court and i are doing a trip of the east coast of AU from cairns to sydney. it's going to be amazing! great barrier reef, byrons bay, surfers paradise, etc. after that, we'll fly to nz, then to bali, then to italy to meet our family. then home i guess. only until we sort out our next adventure of course! ok, so hold tight and i'll post soon! stay wellllll.

greetings earthlings
howdy.
sorry i've been lax on the blog front. i really need to post the pictures from the footy game! and put up a couple videos on vimeo. i'll get to it. anyway, i got a 2 week stint working at ticketek selling AFL (australian football league) finals tickets. it's inbound of course, which makes one hundred times easier. and it's absolutely perfect because it gives me something to do before i go to the farm on the 5th, and i get some pocket change. courtney's doing well. she's still at her job with coles doing inbound calls as well. that's over october 31st, so she'll probably get a job at a restaurant afterwards. as for me, i really don't know yet. maybe when i come back, i'll try and get on another short campaign. we'll see. it's been rainy this week, but not cold. i really don't mind. it's always nice to nestle. our friend sabina's 21st birthday is on friday and it's sure to be a crazy, fun night. courtney and i have to give a speech. over here, your 21st is equivolent to you're 16th in that it's the "big" birthday. and the whole "oh you can drink now" doesn't apply because the age is 18 here. so, usually the people closest to the birthday girl give a speech including family and a few friends. court and i (and our friend alex) are going to get together and do something funny. like a rap or something. should be interesting. let's see. softball is officially over. it was a blast. we didn't win or anything, but we had a ball. the last game, our coach let us play wherever we wanted and it was totally for fun, yet we ended up winning and keeping that team out of the finals! hahaha i think we ranked maybe 4th all in all. not bad. well, i'm starting work in about 10 minutes, so i better be off. i'll attempt to post tomorrow, which should be fine since i'm goin over to sabina's. court and her are getting their hair done! should be fun. alright, stay well folks. much love.

alright, this is a photoshoot court and i did a few days ago. we come up with random things, no rhyme or reason really. so the fact that we have a question mark and an exclamation point on our faces holds no real significance. make of it what you will! i could only upload these few for now, but i'll post the others tomorrow. there's about 5 more i think. have a joyous day!
